Effective Sound is run by professional Theatre Sound Designer Gina Hills who has over ten years' experience designing sound for shows in the West End, regional producing theatres, touring companies and for the radio.

Effective Sound works with producing theatres, touring companies, youth theatres and amateur groups. The recording Studio is in Salisbury, Wiltshire, but we work for theatre companies all over the country.

The production and design work is arranged over the telephone and by email, and we send the finished fx to you on CD or minidisc as wav or mp3 files. Where appropriate we will supply a preliminary disk which has some variations of your sound effects for you to listen to and choose the finished product. We can make site visits if necessary.

The charge will depend on the work that we do for you: You can either pay a fee for a complete sound design or, if you only need a few effects, we will charge at an hourly rate. There is no minimum fee. For more details about our pricing structure please email.
